10ATM. What does that actually mean day to day? Here's a straight answer — no marketing language.

WHAT ATM ACTUALLY MEANS
ATM = atmospheres. 1 ATM ≈ 10 metres of static water pressure. The key word is static — water pressure from movement (swimming, diving) is significantly higher than static depth.

3ATM: splash-resistant. Washing hands, rain. Not swimming. 5ATM: light swimming, no diving. 10ATM: swimming, snorkelling, water sports. All Valusis watches are rated 10ATM.

WHY 10ATM AND NOT LESS
A watch you can't wear in the shower is a watch that limits your life. 10ATM is the minimum for a genuine daily driver. We set it as the baseline — not a premium feature.

Achieving 10ATM requires a sealed crown, case gaskets, and a tested caseback seal. It adds cost to every watch. We include it anyway.

WHAT TO AVOID
Hot showers and hot tubs accelerate gasket degradation over time — thermal expansion weakens seals even if the water rating holds. Avoid solvents and perfume near the crown.

Annual pressure testing is advisable if you wear in water regularly. It's a simple service — just confirm the seals are holding.
