No two dials are identical
Every Mother-of-Pearl dial starts as a raw shell, formed over years beneath the ocean's surface. No two watches are identical. Each carries its own pattern, its own light, its own character. We chose this material for one reason, it can't be synthesized, and it's process can't be rushed.
The dial begins as a hand-selected shell, sourced for its iridescence and unique reflections.
The shell is sliced to 0.3mm thickness. Thin enough to reveal the natural lights, thick enough to hold its form.
Once the dial is prepared, color is applied in layers by hand, to achieve an even tone without covering the mother-of-pearl's properties.
The edge is finished with a fumé finish, letting the contrast in colors of the mother-of-pearl take center stage.
Each index is placed onto the dial with tweezers, one at a time, before it's seated into the case.

The full story

For generations, pearl diving was the backbone of the region's economy. Divers harvesting them by hand, boats searching the Gulf's oyster beds for the pearls that would fund the city's earliest trade. It was a hard, dangerous trade, but it built the foundations of everything that came after.
